What's the Big Idea?
Tinhouses is a small company based in Yorkshire. Our aim is to produce engaging websites that are both attractive and easy to use, focusing on making clean, usable sites that adhere to web standards (especially XHTML and CSS). We have a strong commitment to accessibility and cross-platform transparency. Our philosophy is to be open-minded and treat each project as unique, so that it reflects our client's specific objectives. We specialise in content managed websites allowing for easy updates and self-management.
We especially love text, including shuffling it around and creating original & interesting ways of using type, images and other media to produce balanced & informative content that looks great and is user-friendly. You'll never be at a loss for words with tinhouses in your corner.
Not only are we open-minded we are also mostly open source. Free software is the basis for all our development tools and our day-to-day computer needs.
